Overview

The REICHHARDT ISO FIT ISOBUS Retrofit Harness is a system designed to integrate ISOBUS components into tractors and self-propelled agricultural machinery. This system allows for the connection and operation of ISOBUS-compatible implements and display units, enhancing the functionality and interoperability of agricultural equipment.

Function Description:

The core function of the ISO FIT system is to provide an ISOBUS infrastructure within a vehicle that may not have originally been equipped with one. It acts as a central hub, connecting various ISOBUS components and ensuring their power supply and communication.

The basic kit includes:

  • ISOBUS Main Harness (703428-00): This is the backbone of the system, connecting all components and providing power. It features connections for ground (terminal 31), voltage (terminal 30), relays for power supply (XK01 for 70A, XK02 for 30/40A ECU Power), an ISOBUS InCab adapter (X03A), ignition voltage (X06), and rear socket connections (X01A for PWR, X02A for CAN bus).
  • ISOBUS InCab Adapter (703430-00): This adapter connects to the main harness and serves as the interface for an ISOBUS display unit (ISO-VT) or an ISOBUS control element (joystick ISO CONTROL) within the cabin.
  • ISOBUS Mounting Socket ISO 11783-2 – IBBC active (141570): This is the rear socket for connecting ISOBUS attachments.
  • ISOBUS Terminator TBC (110578): Used at the X05A connector of the main harness if a front socket is not utilized, ensuring proper bus termination.
  • Relays (12V 30/40A splash-proof (110305) and 12V 70A splash-proof (110395)): These relays control the power supply from the ECU Power unit and for terminal 30, actuators, and sensors, respectively.
  • Dual-ATC blade-type fuse Adapter with tapping Device (130333): Establishes ignition voltage supply through terminal 15.
  • Bracket for ISOBUS Socket IBBC (320664) and associated screws/nuts: For mounting the rear socket.
  • 7.5A Fuse, Blade-Type Connector, brown (130061): Inserted into the fuse adapter for ignition voltage protection.

Optional components extend the system's capabilities:

  • ISO FIT Front Socket (705212): Allows for the operation of a front ISOBUS socket in addition to the rear. It includes an ISOBUS harness for the front socket (703429-00), an ISOBUS mounting socket ISO 11783-2 IBBC passive (142053), and a bracket with mounting hardware.
  • ISO FIT Receiver Adapter (703433-00): Integrates a GPS receiver into the ISOBUS system. It connects between the main harness and the InCab adapter.
  • ISO FIT – TECU Kit (705213): Provides engine speed and signal socket data to other ISOBUS applications. It consists of an ISOBUS TECU adapter (703431-00), the ISO FIT TECU (703640-00), an ISOBUS TECU adapter – signal socket (703434-00), and mounting hardware. The TECU allows for reading out data from the vehicle's signal socket and transmitting motor CAN bus signals.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Supply: The system requires connection to the vehicle's battery (terminals 30 and 31) and ignition voltage (terminal 15).
  • Fuses: A 7.5A fuse is used for the ignition voltage supply, and a 30A fuse is also integrated via the dual blade-type fuse adapter.
  • Cable Length: A maximum cable length of 4.5 meters is recommended between the rear socket and the battery to maintain a wiring and connecting reserve of 0.5 meters.
  • Cable Lead-in Diameter: A minimum diameter of 25 mm is required for routing the main harness into the vehicle cabin.
  • ISOBUS Standard: The system adheres to the ISO 11783-2 standard for mounting sockets and ISO 11783-7 for value entries in the TECU application.
  • TECU Software: Based on software version 1.1.0, with potential variations in representation on different VT models.
  • WBS/GBS Pulse Rate: Valid value range for manual entry or determination is 5400 to 66900 Imp/100m for the signal socket, and 75 to 2000 Imp/100m for an external sensor.
  • Rear Hitch Position Resolution: 0.4%/bit, with a data range of 0 to 100% (0 to 250 bit).
  • Wheel Based Machine Speed (WBS) Resolution: 0.001 m/s/bit, data range 0 to 64.255 m/s (0 to 64255 bit).
  • Ground Based Machine Speed (GBS) Resolution: 0.001 m/s/bit, data range 0 to 64.255 m/s (0 to 64255 bit).
  • Rear PTO Output Shaft Speed Resolution: 0.125 1/min/bit, data range 0 to 8031.875 1/min (0 to 64255 bit).
  • Engine Speed Resolution: 0.125 1/min/bit, data range 0 to 8031.875 1/min (0 to 64255 bit).

Usage Features:

  • ISOBUS Compatibility: Enables the use of ISOBUS-compatible display units (ISO-VT), control elements (joysticks), and implements.
  • Modular Design: The system can be expanded with optional components like front sockets, GPS receiver adapters, and a TECU kit to suit specific needs.
  • TECU User Interface: The optional TECU kit provides a graphical user interface on an ISO-VT terminal, displaying various vehicle parameters such as engine speed, rear hitch position, PTO speed, and machine speeds.
  • Configurable Settings: Users can adjust region-specific settings (language, units), set the maximum overrun time for power supply after ignition switch-off, and manually enter or determine pulse rates for wheel-based and ground-based machine speeds.
  • Sensor Signal Management: Allows for activating/deactivating pull-up resistors for various sensor signals (WBS, GBS, PTO speed, rear hitch in-work indication) and inverting the rear hitch signal if needed.
  • Diagnostic Capabilities: The TECU user interface provides information on software version and serial number for diagnostic purposes.
  • Safety Features: Includes warnings for potential malfunctions and instructions for safe operation and installation.
