Overview

The Relacart UR-222 Series is a professional wireless microphone system designed for various applications, including nightclubs, multi-functional halls, hotels, conference rooms, and small to medium-sized performances. The series includes the UR-222S Single Channel Wireless Microphone System and the UR-222D Dual Channel Wireless Microphone System.

Function Description

The UR-222 Series wireless microphone system is designed to provide reliable and high-quality audio transmission. It utilizes advanced technology and sophisticated design to ensure stable performance and convenient operation. The system features automatic frequency selection (AFS) to find and lock onto open, interference-free frequencies, and infrared (IR) synchronization for easy pairing between the receiver and transmitters.

The receiver acts as the central hub, receiving signals from the wireless transmitters. It features a clear LCD display that shows essential information such as working frequency or channel, RF/AF signal strengths, diversity strengths, transmitter battery level, mute status, and an electronic volume control. The receiver also includes a "SYNC" button for IR synchronization and "SET" and control buttons for navigating menus and adjusting parameters. Rear panel connections include BNC antenna inputs, an anti-pull device for the power adapter, a DC IN socket, a LIFT/GND switch, unbalanced 6.3mm audio output ports, and balanced XLR audio output ports.

The system supports various types of transmitters, including the UH-222 handheld microphone, UT-222 bodypack transmitter, UB-222 boundary microphone, and UD-222 desktop gooseneck microphone. Each transmitter is designed for specific use cases and offers features tailored to its function.

The UH-222 handheld microphone is equipped with an OLED display showing battery level, working channel, and frequency. It features a power/mute button for turning the transmitter on/off and muting, an infrared data receiving window for synchronization, an RF power switch (HI/LO), a battery compartment for two AA batteries, and an audio gain switch with multiple settings (0dB, -6dB, -12dB).

The UT-222 bodypack transmitter includes a 3.5mm crimp type antenna, a power/mute button, a TA4M/LEMO input jack for connecting a microphone or instrument cable, an OLED display for frequency, channel, lock, and battery life, an infrared data receiving window, "SET" and control buttons for menu navigation, and a battery compartment for two AA batteries.

The UB-222 boundary microphone features a power/mute button, an OLED display for frequency, channel, lock, and battery life, an infrared data receiving window, a battery door switch, and a battery compartment for two AA batteries.

The UD-222 desktop gooseneck microphone includes a power/mute button, an OLED display for frequency, channel, lock, and battery life, an infrared data receiving window, a flexible gooseneck rod, a speaking aperture with an instruction light, a gain knob for input signal size adjustment, a low cut switch (below 150Hz), a battery door switch, and a battery compartment for two AA batteries.

Usage Features

The Relacart UR-222 Series is designed for ease of use and flexibility. The system offers a super wide frequency range (UHF 521.25MHz~936.85MHz) with automatic frequency selection, making it adaptable to various environments. The "AFS" function allows the receiver to auto-scan and lock onto an open, interference-free frequency with a simple press of a button. The "IR" button facilitates automatic frequency upload from the receiver to the transmitter, ensuring quick and accurate synchronization.

The PLL (Phase Lock Loop) frequency control circuit, combined with "IP address" and "NOISE DETECTION" mute control, effectively separates RF interference from common electronic equipment like computers, song machines, and DVDs. This ensures clear audio in diverse working environments.

The system provides four frequency groups in total, with 40 channels, offering over 400 adjustable frequencies for users. The 134MHz wide bandwidth transmitters allow for exchangeability across four different frequency groups (400 mics), simplifying debugging and management.

The handheld microphone features a novel design with an OLED display, providing clear information on battery level, working channel, and frequency. Its durable alloy tube protects internal components and offers an ergonomic grip. The bodypack, boundary, and desktop gooseneck microphones also feature OLED displays for essential information.

The system incorporates a precise low-power circuit design, extending battery life significantly. Transmitters typically use two AA alkaline batteries, offering longer operation times compared to common designs.

The receiver's installation method emphasizes optimal placement for best reception, recommending a minimum distance from the ground, walls, and metal surfaces to minimize reflections. Antennas should be positioned in a "V" shape (45° from vertical) and kept away from noise sources.

The receiver setup process is straightforward, starting with ensuring the transmitter is off before powering on the receiver. The LCD backlight illuminates, and the normal display appears within seconds. Users can change the operating frequency manually or use the AFS auto-scan function. The main menu, accessed by long-pressing the SET button, allows for adjustments to display settings (frequency or channel), group selection, electronic volume level, squelch level, lock operation, and pilot switch.

The squelch control is adjustable in ten 5dB steps, providing a 50dB range, which helps manage noise. The lock function prevents accidental changes to settings. The pilot switch allows for control over the pilot tone.

Transmitter battery installation is simple, requiring users to unscrew the battery cover (for handheld) or slide the battery door switch (for bodypack, boundary, and desktop gooseneck) and insert two fresh 1.5V AA alkaline batteries, paying attention to correct polarity. The audio gain switch on the handheld microphone allows users to adjust the input signal size to prevent distortion.

Maintenance Features

Relacart products are designed with durability and reliability in mind. The handheld microphone's alloy tube effectively protects the circuit elements and battery rack, contributing to its longevity.

The manual provides clear safety operation instructions, emphasizing the importance of proper handling and care to prevent damage and ensure safe operation. Users are advised not to scratch, bend, twist, stretch, or heat the power cord, as this can cause damage and lead to fire or electric shock. Opening the device shell is discouraged to prevent electric shock, and repairs should be handled by local agents.

The manual also highlights the importance of not touching the power plug with wet hands and not attempting to modify the device. It advises against using the equipment near water and to obtain replacement parts from the dealer if the power cord is damaged. When moving the device, users should unplug the power cord and all connecting cables to prevent damage.

For cleaning, the device should be unplugged, and a dry, soft cloth should be used. If the device is not in use for a long time, it is recommended to turn off the power and unplug it from the socket. Adequate ventilation is crucial, with a minimum clearance of 5 cm around the equipment. Ventilation holes should not be covered.

Batteries should not be exposed to high temperatures or direct sunlight and should be disposed of in designated bins. The device is rated IPX0 for water protection. It is suitable for use in tropical/temperate climates and at altitudes of 2000m and below.

Relacart offers a one-year free maintenance warranty for all its products, excluding man-made damage, damage from improper operation, or damage/loss of components due to self-disassembly. This commitment ensures that customers can rely on the quality and performance of their wireless microphone system.
