What to do if my Reliable 6000 shuts off automatically?
    • A
      ashleydavisAug 2, 2025
If your Reliable Steam Cleaner shuts off automatically, it might be low on water. Press the steam iron button or foot pedal to ensure there is no more steam in the boiler. Next, slowly open the pressure cap and refill to the required level with warm water. Replace the cap, tighten it, and then press the thermostat reset button, and wait for it to build up pressure again.

Why is no steam coming out of my Reliable 6000 Steam Cleaner iron?

      Linda StewartAug 9, 2025
If no steam is coming out of the iron, nozzle, or gun of your Reliable Steam Cleaner, several things could be happening. First, the steam knob might be closed; open it anticlockwise. Second, the iron switch might be off; after turning it on, wait 4 minutes for the iron plate to heat up. If you have the 6000CJ model, the foot pedal might not be plugged in; plug the 4-pin receptacle into the boiler. Additionally, the boiler switch might be off; after turning it on, wait 10 minutes for the boiler to produce steam. Finally, if the low water light is on, the water in the tank is low or empty; refill the boiler carefully following the instructions.

How to fix wet steam from Reliable 6000 iron?
    • R
      Ricky FoxAug 14, 2025
If the steam from your Reliable Steam Cleaner iron is too wet, it could be due to two reasons. First, you may have poured too much water into the tank while filling it. This problem will persist until the excess water is emptied; keep the steam button pressed until the water in the tank is at the correct level. Second, the iron soleplate might not be getting hot enough. Check that the temperature knob is in the correct position; if not, increase the iron temperature.

Why is the steam from my Reliable 6000 dirty?
    • S
      susansimmonsAug 21, 2025
The steam from your Reliable Steam Cleaner might be dirty because, when using the iron with an ironing shoe, calcium can form between the shoe and the iron base if it's not cleaned regularly. To resolve this, remove and rinse the ironing shoe regularly (monthly) to avoid scale build-up.
