Overview

The Remington Curl Revolution Styler, model CI606, is an innovative hair styling appliance designed to create a variety of curls with ease. This device features a unique rotating barrel that automatically feeds hair, simplifying the curling process and delivering consistent results. It is suitable for use on various hair types, from thin and fine to thick and difficult-to-style hair, thanks to its adjustable temperature settings.

Function Description

The primary function of the Curl Revolution Styler is to create curls in hair. It achieves this through a motorized rotating barrel that gently wraps sections of hair around a heated surface. Users can control the direction of the rotation (clockwise or anti-clockwise) to achieve different curl patterns and styles. The appliance is designed for efficiency, boasting a fast heat-up time, making it ready to use in just 15 seconds. It also incorporates safety features such as an automatic shut-off after 60 minutes of inactivity, ensuring peace of mind during and after use. The styler is multivoltage, allowing for convenient use at home or abroad, though times and temperatures may vary at 120V.

Usage Features

To use the Curl Revolution Styler, hair should be clean, dry, and tangle-free. For added protection, a heat protection spray is recommended. The styling process begins by plugging the product into the mains power supply and switching it on by pressing and holding the on button. Users should start styling at lower temperatures and then select an appropriate temperature for their hair type using the +/- controls on the side of the product. The temperature display will stop flashing once the desired temperature is reached and the product is ready.

The styler features a shorter opening side, indicated by a specific mark, which should be positioned at the top of the hair strand. With one hand, users hold the styler, and with the other, they hold the bottom of a hair strand taut. A section of hair is then slid into the opening in the barrel. It's crucial to ensure the hair strand sits across the styler at a diagonal angle, using the gloss area on the barrel as a guide for the correct angle.

Once the hair is positioned, the user presses the rotation switch in the desired direction to curl the hair. Pressing the switch to the right rotates the barrel clockwise, while pressing it to the left rotates it anti-clockwise. The hair strand is then released, and the styler is held in place with the rotation switch activated. The hair is automatically fed into the opening and rotates up the barrel until it drops off the end, forming a curl. This process is repeated around the head to create the desired number of curls. After styling, the hair should be allowed to cool before further manipulation. To turn off the appliance, the off button should be pressed and held for 2 seconds, followed by unplugging the device.

The styler offers a temperature lock function for consistent styling. Users can set their desired temperature using the +/- buttons and then lock it by pressing the '-' button for 2 seconds. A lock LED will illuminate to confirm the lock. To unlock, the '-' button is pressed and held again for 2 seconds.

The device allows for different curl sizes based on the width of the hair section and temperature. For tight curls, a 1 cm hair section and 230°C are recommended. Medium curls can be achieved with a 3 cm section and 200°C, while loose curls require a 5 cm section and 160°C. Recommended temperatures for different hair types include 160°C - 180°C for thin/fine, damaged, or bleached hair; 200°C - 220°C for normal, healthy hair; and 230°C for thick and difficult-to-style hair. The hottest temperatures are advised only for experienced stylers.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of the Curl Revolution Styler. Before cleaning, the appliance must be unplugged and allowed to cool completely. All surfaces should be wiped with a damp cloth. It is important to avoid using harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents, as these can damage the device.

In case the supply cord becomes damaged, the appliance should be immediately discontinued from use and returned to an authorized Remington service dealer for repair or replacement to prevent any hazards. Users should also ensure that no part of the appliance touches the face, neck, or scalp during use. The power plug and cord should be kept away from heated surfaces. Only attachments supplied by Remington should be used. The appliance should not be used if it is damaged or malfunctions. To prevent damage to the cable, it should not be twisted, kinked, or wrapped around the appliance. Regular checks for any signs of cord damage are recommended. This appliance is not intended for commercial or salon use.

The Curl Revolution Styler is designed for ease of use and safety, providing a convenient way to achieve beautiful curls while incorporating features that promote responsible usage and care.
