Securing the vehicle after it has been removed from the water
! Wear electrical safety gloves
and a face shield (see page 40)
! Switch the ignition off
! Remove the traction battery cut-out switch (see pages 19 to 21), avoiding any skin contact with the
water pouring from the traction battery.
! Disconnect the 12V battery (see pages 22 to 23).
" After the vehicle has been removed from the water, it is essential to secure
the vehicle in order to prevent any risk of an additional accident in the
logistics chain (towing, storage, etc.)
" When removing the traction battery cut-out switch in a vehicle which has
been submerged, it is mandatory to wear insulating gloves and a face
shield.
" Always take care! Avoid all skin contact with the water pouring from the
traction battery when removing the cut-out switch
" RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR ELECTRIC SHOCK WHICH MAY RESULT IN
DEATH.
