" Both types of securing should be used in all cases
" When securing, the maximum forces that may occur during transportation, such as under sudden
braking, must be taken into account.
" The securing operations must be carried out as follows;
• Either two chocks in front of the front wheels and two chocks behind the rear wheels.
• Or two chocks in front of the front wheels and two chocks behind the wheels of the most heavily
laden axle.
" The strap securing operations must be carried out as follows;
• One strap is fixed to the floor of the recovery vehicle and placed around the edge of the tyre on a
rear wheel of the vehicle being transported
• One strap is fixed to the front towing point of the vehicle being transported and to the floor of the
recovery vehicle.
