abbrevia-
tion has
no influence on
the
reception.

The cursor
marks the first of the
four
available
input
positions.
The cursor
ad-
vances one
position
each
time the CURSOR
button
is
pressed.
The digits 0 9 and
all alphabetic
charac-
ters A...
Z can be represented.
A lank can be
created by advancingthe
cursorwithouten-
tering
any character.
The character string
can be scanned
rapidly,
either
forward or backward,
by holding
one
of the buttons
down continuously.
lf the buttons
are merely touched,
the
cha-
racter string is displayed
step by step.
An
incorrect
character
is deleted by
restart-
ing the
input from
the
beginning:
press
the
CURSOR button
repetitively to
position
it
in
the f irst input
position.
The station number flashes
Note:
ln
station
abbreviation
programming
mode,
the
previously
selected
reception
modes
(MUTING
OFF,
N/ONO or BLEND) are oveT-
written
with
the current setting
of the corre
sponding buttons.
lt is, therefore,
important
to
reestablish the reception
mode
shown
on
the display before
pressing
the STORE but-
ton.
At the end of the
programming
operation
the station
number changes
f rom flashing
to
steady
indication.
