In this model the recording capacity of a tape
is doubled. For this purpose the tape is subdi-
vided
into
four
narrower
tracks.
In
one
tape
di-
rection,
the
stereo
signal
is
recorded
on
tracks
1 and 3.
The tape can then be reversed and recorded
ontracks
2
and
4.
When
working
with
quarter-
track models, the track location should al-
ways
be
noted
together
with
the
title,
the
tape
speed, and the counter reading.
