Insertion of the tape
Fixation of the tape
The data are stored on the inner side of the
tape, i.e. on the side which is facing the head.
The tape, being wound onto the ree! only loo-
sely, is not well protected and may easily get
damaged.
Therefore, it is recommended to load the tape
into the machine in accordance with the fol-
lowing instructions:
Place a full tape reel onto the left-hand spool-

Place an empty reel onto the right-hand spool-
ing motor.
Both reels must be secured as per the adapter
variants described on page 7.

Route the tape from reel to reel as shown on
the picture on the left (tape = red).
Put the head end of the tape against the hub of
the right-hand tape reel and fix it to the hub by
making one full turn.
