Do you have a question about the Riton X3 TACTIX ARD and is the answer not in the manual?
The Riton X3 Tactix ARD is a versatile red dot optic designed for a variety of firearms, including ARs, AKs, shotguns, and pistols. It features a Riton 2 MOA ultra-precise red dot and comes with three interchangeable mounts to ensure the perfect mounting height for any platform.
The X3 Tactix ARD serves as a primary aiming device, providing a clear and precise red dot for quick target acquisition. Its illumination system aids in low-light situations, ensuring visibility of the reticle. The optic is designed for durability and reliability in challenging environments.
The X3 Tactix ARD is equipped with capped turrets for windage and elevation adjustments, protecting them from accidental changes. Its aircraft-grade aluminum construction ensures ruggedness, making it suitable for the toughest environments. The optic is 100% waterproof, fog-proof, and shockproof, capable of withstanding significant impact. It offers 1 MOA windage and elevation adjustment, allowing for precise zeroing.
The X3 Tactix ARD features a 2 Minute of Angle (MOA) dot. It is night vision compatible and can operate for up to 1600 hours on a single CR2032 battery. The reticle is a Second Focal Plane (SFP) type, meaning it maintains the same appearance regardless of magnification. However, for shooters using reticle hash marks for ranging, holdover, or windage correction, these subtensions are accurate only at maximum magnification.
The variable intensity reticle illumination system is activated by rotating the adjustment knob in either direction. The knob provides 6 levels of brightness intensity, allowing users to adapt to various lighting conditions.
The Riton RMD comes with a lower 1/3 cowitness mount. To mount, loosen the base bolt with the provided allen wrench, attach the lower base, ensuring it is solidly seated in the base groove. Position the Red Dot to achieve at least four inches of eye relief to prevent recoil injury. Ensure the base clamp is hooked around the outside of the rail/base, then press downward and forward toward the muzzle before firmly tightening the base clamp hex nut. The Riton RRD has an unlimited eye relief. If planning to mount a magnifier behind the Red Dot, ensure sufficient space is left during mounting.
Bore sighting is a preliminary step to align the RMD with the rifle's bore, reducing the time and ammunition needed for zeroing. This can be done using a mechanical or laser bore sighter, or by removing the bolt and sighting through the barrel on some rifles. To bore sight:
To zero the scope:
Your Riton riflescope is pre-set from the factory with the reticle centered in the adjustment ranges. To find factory zero:
To change the CR2032 battery:
Problems often attributed to the scope may actually be mount-related. Ensure mounts are tight to the RMD and that the RMD is secured without twisting or moving in the rings. Confirm correct base and rings are used and properly oriented, torqued to manufacturer's specs. Poor bullet grouping can also result from other issues:
