PRE-RIDE SAFETY CHECKS
Inspect the ATV prior to each use to ensure it is in a safe operating condition. Always follow the inspections, procedures
and schedules described in the Owner’s Manual.
Failure to inspect or maintain the vehicle properly increases the possibility of an accident
or equipment failure. Do not operate the vehicle if any problem is discovered. If a problem
cannot be corrected by the procedures described in this manual, have the vehicle
inspected by a Rival Motorsports dealer.
ITEM ROUTINE PAGE
Fuel • Check fuel level in fuel tank, and add recommended fuel if necessary. 19
(91 octane min.) • Add Rival/Maxima Fuel Stabilizer if using ethanol fuel.
• Check fuel line for leakage. Correct if necessary.
Engine Oil • Check oil level in engine, and add recommended oil to 19
(Rival/Maxima) specied level if necessary.
• Check ATV for oil leakage. Correct if necessary.
Transmission Oil • Check ATV for oil leakage. Correct if necessary. 19
Front Brake • Check operation, and correct if necessary. 20
• Lubricate cable if necessary.
• Check lever free play, and adjust if necessary.
Rear Brake • Check operation, and correct if necessary. 20
• Lubricate cable if necessary.
• Check lever free play, and adjust if necessary.
