FRONT & REAR BRAKES
BRAKE LEVER
Check for correct free play in the brake levers. If the free play is incorrect, adjust it. Check operation of the levers. They
should move smoothly and there should be a rm feeling when the brake is applied. If not, have the ATV checked by a
Rival Motorsports Dealer.
BRAKE OPERATION
Test the brakes at slow speed after starting out to make sure they are working properly. If the brakes do not provide
proper braking performance, check the brake shoes/pads for wear.
THROTTLE LEVER
Check the operation of the throttle lever. It must open smoothly and spring back to the idle position when released.
If throttle is not operating properly DO NOT START ENGINE. Have a Rival Motorsports dealer correct the issue before
operating this ATV.
SWITCHES
Check to ensure all switches are working properly before starting the engine.
DRIVE CHAIN
Check the condition of the drive chain and check the drive chain slack. Lubricate and adjust the drive chain as necessary.
TIRES
Check tire pressure before each ride to make sure it is at the recommended specications (10 PSI). Also check for
wear and damage. Adjust tire pressures when the tires are cold. Tire pressure must be the same per axle. This ATV is
equipped with tubeless tires with valves.
TIRE WEAR LIMIT
When the tire groove decreases to 3mm (0.12 in) due to wear, replace the tire. Never operate an ATV with worn tires, as
this may cause loss of control, increasing your risk of an accident or death.
