An electric scooter such as the Indie is driven by a motor which
is powered by a rechargeable battery, while traditional
vehicles are powered by an internal combustion engine which
runs by burning fossil fuels. Consequently, electric scooters
are eco-friendly as they do not require fuel and do not emit
exhaust gases.
1. Indie runs on energy stored in the lithium-ion battery
pack which powers the motor. It is more efficient in traffic
since the motor does not idle like an engine and has fewer
moving parts. The battery pack also powers auxiliary units
such as the lamps, instrument cluster and other connected
peripherals.
2. Indie is charged using a provided charger which can be
plugged into a residential 16A power socket. This allows you
to charge at home without having to refuel at a petrol station.
You can charge it like any other portable electronic device
such as a mobile phone.
3. Indie is equipped with regenerative braking. This aids in
partially recharging the batteries while decelerating or riding
downhill. This minimizes energy loss and increases efficiency
and range.
