Seat Belts
Adjust the seat to the proper position before operating the
vehicle. Make sure the shoulder belt sits firmly across your
chest and shoulder. Don’t operate the vehicle if there is a gap
between the seat belt and your chest.
To avoid risk of injury or death from sudden stops, collisions, or
improper use, do the following:
• Use one seat belt per person.
• Fasten seat belts before the vehicle starts to move to avoid
risk of injury from sudden stops or collisions.
• Ensure that all belts are fastened securely.
• Ensure that the seat belt isn’t worn twisted or reversed.
• Wear the seat belt so that it rests over the shoulder without
touching the neck. Don’t route the belt behind your back.
• Wear the lap belt as low as possible on your hips.
• Sit well back in the seat and in an upright position.
