The shoulder belt should pass over the middle of the shoulder
and across the chest without touching the neck. The seat belts
aren’t meant to be used with any tension-relieving devices, such
as “comfort clips.” Wearing the belt in an improper position
or introducing slack to the belt could significantly reduce its
effectiveness in an accident.
Unfasten Seat Belts
1. Press the release button on the
buckle.
2. Allow the seat belt to retract slowly
to avoid any twists.
3. Ensure that the belt has fully
retracted to avoid closing the door
on the belt or tongue plate.
