A high-positioned lap belt may increase the risk of injury to the
abdomen, or the chance that the child may slide under the belt,
in the event of a collision or sudden braking. Don’t allow children
to wear the shoulder belt under the arm or behind the back.
Remove a Secured Child Seat
1. Press the release button on the buckle.
2. Guide the seat belt out of the belt path of the child seat.
3. Allow the seat belt to fully retract to avoid any twists. Once the seat belt has
returned to its fully retracted position, the seat belt returns to normal function,
and the locking mechanism is deactivated.
