The Alde will also run off the 120 volt electricity produced by the optional propane generator, but it is much more efficient
just to burn the propane in the Alde than to convert it to electricity by running the generator and then using the electricity to
power the Alde. It is also much quieter.
The water heater can heat the 2.5 gallons in the tank to a useable temperature in approximately one hour, depending on
ambient temperature.

Refrigerator
The refrigerator in your Roadtrek is a 12 volt DC/120 volt AC
compressor refrigerator. It is configured to run off 12 volt power,
so it is supplied by the battery charger when plugged into shore
power, and will operate whether or not the inverter is turned on
or other sources of 120 volt power are available. The battery
disconnect switch must be on for the refrigerator to operate.
The temperature control for the refrigerator is located to the
right of the freezer. Lowering the thermostat setting will not cool
the refrigerator off faster, but may freeze your produce. Find the
minimum setting that will not freeze your lettuce and other
delicate items overnight, and leave the setting there.
Temperature swings can be minimized by prechilling items in
your home refrigerator prior to placing them in the refrigerator.
To open the refrigerator, gently push down on the latch located
on the upper left hand corner of the refrigerator to release the
retaining pin and pull the door towards you.
Do not block the vent between the galley cabinet top and the window by storing things in this space. This vent must
be unobstructed for the refrigerator to work properly.
