Overview

The Robinhood Supertub Series 3 Workstation, model ST1200, is a laundry tub designed for domestic use, offering a combination of a sink, cabinet, and integrated plumbing for washing machines. This workstation is designed to be a versatile and space-saving solution for laundry areas, suitable for installation either to the left or right of a washing machine.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Robinhood Supertub ST1200 is to provide a dedicated area for laundry tasks, including handwashing, soaking, and managing washing machine connections. It integrates a stainless steel tub, a cabinet for storage, and a plumbing system that includes a gooseneck tap and 3-way ball valves for managing water supply to both the tub and a washing machine. The cabinet features adjustable shelves and floors with cut-outs for waste pipes, allowing for flexible configuration to accommodate waste pipe connections on either side. The unit is designed to be secured to the wall, ensuring stability.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Dimensions: The overall dimensions of the unit are approximately 1200mm in width, with a depth of 560mm and an adjustable height range of 900-920mm. The back view indicates a depth of 437mm for the main body, with a total depth of 560mm including the front. The internal cabinet width is approximately 1096mm.
  • Tub Material: Stainless steel bowl, covered by a 5-year warranty.
  • Cabinet Material: Powder-coated surfaces, with a 24-month warranty on the cabinet and other components.
  • Tapware: Stainless Steel gooseneck tap with hot and cold indicators, covered by a 24-month warranty (parts only for 5 years in Australia).
  • Plumbing: Includes 3-way ball valves for hot and cold water supply, a non-return valve for the hot water line, and a waste system.
  • Water Temperature Range (Mixer): Recommended 5°C to 65°C, maximum 80°C.
  • Water Pressure (Mixer): Maximum 72.5 PSI (500 kPa), minimum 22 PSI (150 kPa). An in-line filter is recommended for the mixer, and its absence voids the warranty on the single lever mixer.
  • Installation: Designed for wall mounting, with adjustable feet for leveling. Requires connection to mains water supply and house waste pipe.
  • Washing Machine Connection: Features a white plastic washing machine waste inlet and flexible hose connection, configurable to either the left or right side of the unit. The 3-way ball valves allow for isolation of the washing machine's water supply while still enabling water flow to the laundry tub tap.

Usage Features:

  • Versatile Placement: Can be installed to the left or right of a washing machine, with 10mm clearance recommended between units.
  • Adjustable Height: Adjustable feet allow for alignment with benchtop or washing machine height, ensuring a level and stable installation.
  • Flexible Cabinet Configuration: Shelves and floors with waste pipe cut-outs can be swapped to accommodate waste pipe connections on either side, enhancing adaptability to different plumbing layouts.
  • Integrated Water Management: The 3-way ball valves provide convenient control over the water supply to both the laundry tub tap and the washing machine. Users can easily turn the washing machine's water supply on or off with a quarter turn of the valves.
  • Gooseneck Tap: The included stainless steel gooseneck tap offers hot and cold water, operated in conjunction with H&C indicators on the tap handle.
  • Washing Machine Waste Connection: A dedicated white plastic inlet and cable tie are provided to securely connect the washing machine waste hose, preventing loose connections and leaks.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Powder-coated surfaces should be wiped regularly with a damp, soft cloth. A mild soap and water solution can be used for stubborn dirt.
  • Prohibited Cleaners: Abrasive or chemical cleaners, harsh detergents (including bleach, scourers, abrasive cream/powder cleansers, furniture polish, mentholated spirits, drain cleaners, sugar soap, metal pads, and strongly alkaline/acidic cleaners) must not be used on powder-coated surfaces, as they can irreparably damage the surfaces and void the warranty.
  • Warranty: The product comes with a 5-year warranty on the stainless steel bowl and 24 months on the tap, cabinet, and other components for domestic use in New Zealand and Australia. Specific exclusions apply, including damage from misuse, wear and tear, dirt, fire, accidental damage, unauthorised repairs, improper installation, use of non-recommended cleaning products, and certain visual imperfections. Regular cleaning and maintenance as per instructions are crucial to maintain warranty validity.
  • Pre-installation Flushing: It is important to thoroughly flush household pipes before connecting the laundry tub to prevent debris from damaging the ceramic cartridge of the mixer. An in-line filter is recommended for the mixer to maintain warranty on the single lever mixer.
