What to do if my ROCK Winches motor does not turn on?
    • L
      Lisa ThomasAug 12, 2025
If the motor does not turn on, there are several possible causes: * The Switch Assy might not be connected properly. Ensure it is firmly inserted into the connector. * There may be a loose battery cable connection. Tighten the nuts on the cable connectors. * The solenoid could be malfunctioning. Try tapping the solenoid to free the contact and apply 12V (for a 12V motor) or 24V (for a 24V motor) directly to the coil terminal. The solenoid should make a clicking sound when activated. * The motor itself might be defective. Check for voltage at the armature port with the switch pressed. If voltage is present, replace the motor. * Water may have entered the motor. Drain and dry it, then run it in short bursts without a load until completely dry.
