Occasionally you might find that your Roku is behaving funny, not
working like it should. If you have tried the usual plugging and unplugging,
you may want to reset your Roku stick, which you can do easily by pressing
the reset button (the only button on the Roku Stick). If you briefly press the
button, the Stick will restart itself (kind of like logging in and out of a
computer). This is a simple reset and may solve superficial glitches or
issues.
If, however, your Roku still doesn't work after this quick reboot, you
may want to perform a factory reset, but this is really after you have tried
everything else. A factory reset means that your Roku will go back to square
one and you will have to install it, download your channels and basically act
as if you had just bought it. Since we know how many hours it can take to
make your Roku perfectly tailored to your preferences, we don't take this
reset lightly. If you have no choice but to do it, then you have to hold the
button down for a couple of seconds.
