Setting
the
Tuning
Curve
(Stretch
Tuning)

Stretch
Tuning
is
a
unique
method
of
tuning
specific
to
pianos.
The
pitch
of
a
piano
is
generally
tuned
lower
in
the
bass,
and
higher
in
the
treble
compared
with
equal
temperament.
The
Tuning
Curve
shows
the
actual
pitch
change
of
the
tuning
compared
to
the
pitch
change
in
the
treble
of
the
equal
temperament.
By
changing
the
tuning
curve,
the
chords
will
sound
subtly
different.

This
is
a
standard
tuning
curve
which
is
suitable
for
the
Dual
Play
or
ensemble
with
the
other
musical
instrument.
Ny
This
is
the
tuning
curve
that
stretches
the
bass
and
treble.
This
is
suitable
for
piano
solo,
Bass
Middie
A
Treble
1.
Press
the
Harpsichord
button
while
holding
the
Transpose
button
down.
2.
Select
the
Tuning
Curve
1
or
2
with
the
[+/-]
buttons.
3.
Press
the
Transpose
button
and
confirm
that
the
indicator
goes
out.
The
Tuning
Curve
you
have
selected
here
will
be
retained
until
the
HP
is
switched
off.

When
the
HP
is
switched
on,
2
will
be
automatically
selected.
*
Even
when
using
a
tuning
method
other
than
Equal
Temperament
(p.
28,29
),
the
Tuning
Curve
can
be
set.

This
Stretch
Tuning
is
effective
for
Piano
1
and
Piano
2.
