What to do if a newly installed USB device does not work with my Roline Switch?

  If a newly installed USB device isn't working with your Roline Switch, first, try reinstalling the device driver. If that doesn't work, the device might be drawing too much power. Ensure the device is self-powered, or try adding a power adapter to it. If the device consumes too much power instantaneously, add a power adapter with DC5V of less than 1A current rating to the unit. Also, make sure the USB cable is properly connected to ensure proper communication. If the unit is working under self-power, remove all power sources by unplugging all USB A-B cables and the power adapter; then start all over again. If all of these steps do not work, select the computer by push button, restart the computer and try again.

  If your keyboard or mouse isn't working with the Roline Switch, especially during Auto Scan, press the push button to select a specific computer for operation. Also, having too many keyboard or mouse drivers installed can cause issues. Remove any unnecessary keyboard and mouse drivers to resolve this.

What to do if my computer hangs up while switching computers with Roline 14.01.3327 Switch?

  If your computer hangs up while switching computers using the Roline Switch, the device initialization might be taking too long. Wait at least 5 seconds before switching computers to ensure proper USB communication. Also, turn off device drivers (excluding keyboard and mouse) before switching computers.

Why Roline Switch Auto Scan does not switch PC automatically and the unit beeps?

  If the Auto Scan feature on your Roline Switch isn't automatically switching between PCs and the unit is beeping, it might be because all PCs are off or only one PC is turned on. Make sure all the computers you want to switch between are turned on.
