Flash control
(/iS.
3I).Wen
using a dedicatedflash
system, a light signals that
the
camere
is readyfor use
with theflash unit.
After theflash exposure, a signal
indicates that theflash
illuminationwas sufficient.
More details can be seen
from
the instruction manual suppliedwith the
dedicated
flash
system.
The
"memo"function
is
indicatedwhen only the shutter
speed scale is illuminated.
On manual
control, the aperture
in usewill be indicated
as normal, the manually set speed will be
indicated by a
constant
LED
and
the speedwhichwould be set by
the
automatic
system
(f
the camera was working
on
auto-
matic) will be indicated by aflashing
LED. It is thus
possible
to maintain either a chosen exposurevalue
or a
set dffirencefrom the
theoretically correct exposure
value under conditions ofvarying
lighting.
Note:
In
certain specific conditions
it is
possible
that
either the indicated speeds
willflicker or that more than
two indications will light.
This
is
normally brought about
by,for example,fluorescent
lighting and it
is
due
to the
very
rapidfluctuation
in output of such
light sources.In
such cases it is advisable to use a
relatively long shutter
speed.
