Check belt tension

Check tightness
of
float
chamber covers. Check
float
chamber
depression. Check and

necessary reset the
idle
speed. Check

'fast-idle'
speed.
Engine
Change engine
oil.
* Fuel evaporation emission control system
Check the purge rate;
this
should
be
between
50
cu.ft.
per hour and 70
cu.ft.
per hour (1,41 cu.m.
and
1,98 cu.m.) at 600 r.p.m. in
neutral.
Pressure
test
the fuel tank and evaporation loss
line
and
if
necessary
rectify
any leaks.
* Ignition system
Check
ignition
timing
using stroboscope and adjust
if necessary; the
ignition
timing
should
be
15

the feed

Belt tension
Check the tension
of
all
driving
belts;
adjust
if
necessary.
Engine cooling system
Tighten worm-drive

Torque converter transmission

fluid
level
and
top-up
if
necessary.
When
checking the
fluid
level,
avoid contact
with
the exhaust gas
recirculation
valves,
heat
shield
and
associated pipes as these components
will
be
hot.
