INTRODUCTION:
This
Service
Bulletin
has
been
issued
to
instruct
certain
visual
and
torque
tightness
checks
which
must
be
carried
out
on
a
group
of
car
types
listed
above,
the
chassis
numbers
of
which
are
given
at
the
end
of
this
bulletin.
The
checks
are
given
in
no
particular
order
of
importance
or
priority
and
some
of
the
checks
do
not
necessarily
apply
to
all
of
the
cars
listed.
However
for
simplicity
we
have
decided
to
apply
them
generally
to
all
of
the
cars
listed.
There
is
a
slight
exception
regarding
one
check
and
this
is
noted
in
the
bulletin
text.
DESCRIPTION:
The
checks
to
be
carried
out
are
as
follows:
Cl
The
torque
tightness
of
the
four
setscrews
securing
the
two
steering
rack
mounting
feet
to
the
front
sub-frame.
C2
The
torque
tightness
of
the
four
nuts
and
bolts
securing
the
engine
front
mount
crossmember
to
the
front
sub-frame.
C3
A
visual
examination
of
the
two
setscrews
securing
the
inner
ball
joint
bracket
to
the
steering
rack.
C4
The
torque
tightness
of
the
three
countersunk
setscrews
securing
the
steering
wheel
to
its
hub.
