Function Description:

The device is a triple power recliner, meaning it offers independent power adjustments for the headrest, lumbar support, and footrest. It is designed for household indoor use, providing comfort and adjustability for seating. The recliner operates using an electrical power supply.

Important Safety Instructions:

The manual emphasizes several critical safety precautions to prevent burns, fire, electric shock, or injury. Users are warned to always unplug the furnishing from the electrical outlet before cleaning or when putting on or taking off parts. Close supervision is necessary when the recliner is used by or near children or disabled people. The furnishing should only be used for its intended purpose as described in the instructions, and attachments not recommended by the manufacturer should be avoided. It is crucial not to operate the recliner if it has a damaged cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped or damaged, or has been dropped into water. The cord must be kept away from heated surfaces, and no objects should be dropped or inserted into any openings. The recliner is not designed for outdoor use. To disconnect power, all controls should be turned off, and the plug removed from the outlet. A specific warning highlights the risk of injury and advises keeping children away from the extended foot support. Additionally, the furnishing should not be used to support video equipment like televisions or computer monitors. When not in use, the wand (presumably a remote or control device) should be stored securely in the pocket on the outside of the arm.

Servicing of Double-Insulated Products:

The manual notes that the recliner is a double-insulated product, featuring two systems of insulation instead of grounding. This means no grounding is provided or can be added. Servicing such a product requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and must be performed only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts must be identical to the original parts.

Usage Features:

The recliner offers three primary power adjustments:

  1. Footrest/Recline: To recline, users press the front of the button closest to the footrest, which smoothly raises the footrest and reclines the chair to any desired position. To lower the footrest and return to an upright position, the back side of the same button is pressed.
  2. Headrest Adjustment: The headrest can be adjusted by pressing the front of the button closest to the backrest, which smoothly raises and adjusts the headrest to any position. Pressing the back side of this button lowers the headrest to its original position.
  3. Lumbar Support Adjustment: The lumbar support is adjusted by pressing the front of the center button, which smoothly raises and adjusts the lumbar support to any position. To lower the lumbar support to its original position, the back side of the center button is pressed.
  4. Close All/Home Function: To simultaneously return the headrest, footrest, and lumbar support to their original positions, users press and hold the back side of the button closest to the footrest. The control panel includes a USB port for charging devices.

Assembly:

The assembly process involves attaching the chair back to the chair base. It is recommended that two people perform this task.

  1. Step 1: Slide the inside back receivers onto the steel mechanism posts in the chair base (Figure A).
  2. Step 2: Press both sides of the back firmly into place until it automatically locks into the track.
  3. Step 3 (Removal): To remove the back, a screwdriver is used to press outward on the black tab in the metal receivers on both sides of the chair back, then the back is lifted from the base (Figure B).
  4. Step 4: Connect the Headrest and Lumbar cable plugs (Figure C). Headrest-only models will have only one set of cables.
  5. Step 5: Connect the power cord. A screwdriver is required for assembly (not included).

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues:

    • Possible Factors: Transformer may not be connected well.
    • Solutions: Check that the power supply is correctly connected to the transformer and socket. Confirm the wire from the chair to the transformer is firmly connected.

  • The device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules, meaning its operation is subject to two conditions: it may not cause interference, and it must accept any interference, including that which may cause undesired operation. Modifications not approved by the responsible party could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
  • This power furniture is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a party responsible for their safety.
