Function Description
The Rosenlew freezer is designed for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deep-frozen food for extended periods. It operates automatically to regulate temperature, but users can adjust the temperature setting. The appliance includes a FastFreeze function for rapid freezing of fresh food and to protect already stored items from warming. It also features an alarm system for high temperatures, indicating potential issues like power failures or an open door.

Usage Features
- Control Panel: Features an Alarm light, Power indicator light, FastFreeze indicator, FastFreeze / Alarm reset button, and a Temperature regulator.
- Switching On: Insert the plug and turn the temperature regulator clockwise to a medium setting. Power and alarm lights will illuminate.
- Switching Off: Turn the temperature regulator to the "off" position. The power indicator light remains on until unplugged.
- Temperature Regulation: The temperature is automatically regulated, but can be adjusted by turning the regulator clockwise for lower temperatures or counterclockwise for higher temperatures. A medium setting is generally recommended.
- FastFreeze Function: Activated by pressing the FastFreeze button. The FastFreeze indicator switches on. This function runs for 52 hours automatically but can be deactivated manually. It should be activated at least 24 hours before placing fresh food in the freezer.
- High Temperature Alarm: Flashes and sounds when the internal temperature rises (e.g., due to power failure or open door). The sound can be switched off by pressing the alarm reset button.
- Storage of Frozen Food: Freezer drawers facilitate organization. For large quantities, all but the bottom drawer can be removed to improve air circulation. Food should be kept at least 15 mm from the door.
- Thawing: Frozen food can be thawed in the refrigerator or under cold water.
- Shopping Tips: Purchase frozen goods at the end of shopping, transport them in an insulated bag, and place them in the freezer immediately.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning the Interior: Before first use, and periodically, clean the interior and accessories with lukewarm water and neutral soap, then dry thoroughly.
- Door Seals: Regularly check and wipe door seals clean to ensure they are free from debris.
- Defrosting the Freezer: Defrost when the frost layer reaches 3-5 mm thickness.
- Switch off or unplug the appliance.
- Remove stored food and place it in a cool area.
- Leave the door open, protecting the floor from defrost water.
- To speed up defrosting, place a pot of warm water inside. Remove ice pieces as they break away using the supplied scraper.
- Insert the plastic scraper into its seating at the bottom center with a basin underneath to collect water.
- Dry the valve and slot in the rear wall, ensuring the valve is completely dry before pulling it back into the slot.
- Thoroughly dry the interior.
- Switch on the appliance, close the door, and set the temperature regulator to maximum coldness for at least 3 hours before returning food.
- Period of Non-Operation: If not in use for a long time, disconnect from electricity, remove all food, defrost, clean, and leave the door open to prevent odors.
- Care and Cleaning Precautions: Do not use detergents, abrasive powders, chlorine, or oil-based cleaners. Accessories and parts are not suitable for dishwashers.
- Drain Examination: Regularly examine and clean the appliance's drain to prevent defrosted water from collecting.
