2. Use / Setting up
To activate the radio-controlled Wall Clock, place the battery
provided (Specification: Alkaline cell size AA / Mignon 1.5V)
into the compartment at the back of the clock.
Please ensure that the battery is correctly positioned so that
its poles are aligned according to the indicated symbols.
After a short period of time the hands will automatically
move to 12 o’clock position thereby confirming rece ptivity to
the radio signal. If a radio time signal is detected the exact
time will be displayed within 3 to10 minutes. The
clock will
automatically reset seasonally and adjust to summer or winter
time.
Note: Be careful to choose a suitable position for the clock so that there is a
minimum distance of 2 meters from electrical equipment such as television
sets, computers or fridges. They could interfere with the radio signal and false
time readings could be the result. In buildings where steel is incorporated
into the construction, the radio signal may be weakened. In such a case the
clock would be best positioned in the vicinity of a window.
If the radio-controlled Wall Clock fails to function as described, change its
position and reinsert the battery. It may be necessary to press the REC button
to delete received data. Do not press this button during normal operation as it
will interfere with the time display leading to inaccurate time readings.
