  If the compressor starts but cuts off within a few minutes, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the Purge valve is in the “RECOVER” position. If it is in the “PURGE” position, rotate it to “RECOVER”. Secondly, check that the Output valve is open. If it's not open and high pressure activates, rotate the Output valve to “OPEN.” Finally, verify that the recovery tank valve is open.

  If the fan on your Rothenberger Test Equipment does not run when the power switch is in the “ON” position, first ensure the power supply cord is securely attached. Next, check the voltage at the job site to ensure it is correct. Also, verify if the circuit breaker has cut off and, if so, press the button to reset it.

  If the fan runs but the compressor doesn't start when the Start Switch is in the “ON” position on your Rothenberger Test Equipment, it could be due to the unit being in high pressure shut off. Reduce the pressure and then press the button of the High Pressure Switch. Alternatively, the output pressure may be too high; in this case, rotate the Input valve to “CLOSE”, the Purge valve to “PURGE”, then rotate the Input valve back to “OPEN” and the Purge valve to “RECOVER.” If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may indicate a failure in the motor or other electrical components, which requires factory service.
