This document provides user instructions for the SYDNEY safe, detailing its functions, usage, and maintenance.
The SYDNEY safe is designed for secure storage, featuring a digital lock system that operates with both a "master-code" and a "user-code." The lock mechanism is electronic, requiring a valid code entry to open. Some models include a key lock for additional security or an alternative opening method. The system provides acoustic and visual feedback (LED flashes) for various operations, such as key presses, correct/incorrect code entries, and system status.
Opening the Safe:
To open the safe, press the * button, which triggers a single acoustic signal and a green LED flash. Subsequently, enter either the "master-code" or the "user-code" (4 to 6 digits; factory master-code is 1-2-4-5-6). After entering the code, press ENTER. If the code is correct, the green LED will flash, allowing the user to turn the key (if present) and then the handle clockwise to open the door. For models without a key lock, only the handle needs to be turned clockwise.
Closing the Safe: For SYDNEY 40-55 models, close the safe door and turn the key (or handle) clockwise until it stops. For SYDNEY 65-140 models, the safe automatically locks upon closing the door.
Code Management: The safe allows for changing both the "master-code" and the "user-code." It also supports deleting the "user-code." Code changes should ideally be performed with the safe door open.
Lock Blocking: Incorrect code entries are handled with increasing security measures. Two incorrect entries result in two acoustic signals and a continuous green LED flash for 5 seconds. Three consecutive incorrect entries trigger a lock blocking period of 5 minutes, during which the red LED flashes every 5 seconds, and the lock cannot be opened even with a valid code.
User Feedback:
ENTER after code entry) is confirmed by a single acoustic signal and a green LED flash.Changing the Master-Code:
*.ENTER.1.ENTER.ENTER.ENTER.ENTER.
Acoustic and light signals confirm successful or unsuccessful changes.Changing the User-Code (using Master-Code):
*.ENTER.2.ENTER.ENTER.ENTER.ENTER.
Acoustic and light signals are the same as for master-code programming.Changing the User-Code (without using Master-Code): This is only possible if a "user-code" has been set previously by the "master-code."
*.ENTER.3.ENTER.ENTER.ENTER.ENTER.
Acoustic and light signals are the same as for master-code programming.Deleting the User-Code (using Master-Code):
*.ENTER.0.ENTER.ENTER.
Upon deletion, the "user-code" is removed, and the "master-code" remains active.Battery Replacement:
* button will trigger 5 acoustic buzzer signals and a red LED flash. In this state, only lock opening is permitted; code changes are not allowed.Malfunction Diagnostics:
