How to fix Rover Lawn Mower when engine fails to start?
    • N
      Nicole JonesAug 13, 2025
If the engine of your Rover Lawn Mower fails to start, several factors could be at play. Ensure the PTO/Blade Engage knob is disengaged (OFF). Verify the parking brake is engaged. Check that the spark plug wires are correctly connected. Position the Throttle/Choke control lever to FAST. Activate the choke by pushing the Throttle/Choke control lever into the Choke position. Make sure the fuel tank isn't empty and contains fresh gasoline (less than 30 days old). Inspect for a blocked fuel line, cleaning it and replacing the fuel filter if necessary. Examine the spark plugs for faults, cleaning, adjusting the gap, or replacing them as needed. If the engine is flooded, crank it with the throttle in the FAST position. Lastly, check for blown fuses and replace them.

Why does my Rover Lawn Mower engine runs erratic?
    • D
      David MooreAug 16, 2025
If your Rover Lawn Mower engine runs erratically, there are several potential causes to investigate. First, ensure that the tractor isn't running with the CHOKE activated by moving the Throttle/Choke control lever out of the choke position. Check the spark plug wires are securely connected. A blocked fuel line or stale fuel could also be the culprit; clean the fuel line, replace the fuel filter, and fill the tank with fresh gasoline. Additionally, inspect the vent in the gas cap for blockages, clearing it or replacing the cap if damaged. Water or dirt in the fuel system can also cause issues, so drain the fuel tank and refill with clean gasoline. Finally, check the air cleaner and replace the paper element or clean the foam pre-cleaner if it's dirty.

What to do if Rover Lawn Mower will not mulch grass?
    • P
      pamelahillAug 21, 2025
If your Rover Lawn Mower isn't mulching grass effectively, several factors could be the cause. Ensure the engine speed is set high by placing the Throttle/Choke Control in the FAST (rabbit) position. Avoid mulching when the grass is wet. If the grass is excessively high, mow once at a higher cutting height before mowing again at the desired height, or reduce the cutting swath. Check the blade sharpness and sharpen or replace it if dull.
