OPENING THE HOOD
Pull the release lever.
Lift the safety catch and raise the hood.
Closing the hood
Lower the hood slightly until a stop is felt.
Then lift the hood (to release the locking strut)
before lowering fully.
When the hood is approximately 12 inches
(300 mm) from its closed position, push
down CAREFULLY, using the palms of both
hands positioned on the leading edge of the
hood on either side of the radiator grill (where
shown in illustration). Check that the locks are
FULLY engaged by attempting to lift the front
edge of the hood, which should be free from
all movement.
