Installation Instructions

INSTALLING THE MARS BILL ACCEPTOR

IN THE WP100 WALLPHONO PHONOGRAPH

Purpose:

These instructions cover the installation of a Mars AE2400 Bill Acceptor (700 bill capacity) with Mars

250079022 115V cable (supplied by the customer) in a Rowe WP100 Wallphono, with the use of the

22111809, 22111822 or 22111823 installation kit.

Tools Required:

1/4” and 11/32” Nut Drivers, Pliers

Step-By-Step Instructions:

Step 1. Unplug power cord from the 110V outlet.

Step 2. Set the dip switches on the Mars Acceptor to 1 through 6 ON and 7 and 8 OFF.

Step 3. Remove the 115V jumper plug from the power cord bracket. Using the pliers, attach the

blue self-stripping terminals to both the white and black wires making sure that they snap

all the way closed. Return the jumper to the power cord bracket.

Disconnect Power Cord

Unplug the device's power cord from the 110V outlet before proceeding with installation.

Configure Dip Switches

Set Mars Acceptor dip switches to positions 1-6 ON and 7-8 OFF for correct operation.

Connect Power Cord Terminals

Attach blue self-stripping terminals to power cord wires, ensuring secure connection before reattaching jumper.

Attach Detent Bracket

Secure the Detent bracket using #8-32 Hex Nuts to the mechanism partition, ensuring catch faces front.

Install Bill Inlet

Remove the front door's Bill Blockout and install the provided Bill Inlet.

Mount Bill Acceptor Bracket

Fasten the Mars Bracket Assembly to the Bill Acceptor using four #8 x 1/2 self-tapping screws.

Assemble Mounting Bracket Components

Attach spacer, shoulder washer, and mount bracket using specified screws, allowing for initial adjustment.

Position and Adjust Bill Acceptor

Place the assembled Bill Acceptor onto the mounting bracket and check door fit, adjusting as needed.

Attach Fall Stop Cable

Connect the fall stop cable to the pilot hole above the slug cup using a washer and wood screw.

Connect Bill Acceptor Harness

Plug in the harness connector and route wires, connecting to the power jumper and control computer.

Configure Coin Switch Value

Enter service mode to set the coin switch value to 20 for 5-cent increments ($1.00 total).
