Overview

The Royal Prestige® Air Filtration System is a multistage air purification device designed for in-home use. It aims to improve indoor air quality by removing various pollutants through a comprehensive filtration process.

Function Description:

The air filtration system operates by drawing in air through a suction inlet, passing it through multiple filtration stages, and then releasing purified air through an air outlet. The system incorporates a Pre-Filter, Deodorization Filter, Dust Collection Filter (HEPA), a treated Fan, and a Negative Ion & Metal screen to achieve its purification goals.

Important Technical Specifications:

Two models are detailed:

  • Model Name: Royal Prestige® Air Filtration System – AP2701

    • Power Supply: AC 110-120V
    • Consumption Electricity: 23W
    • Electric current for Operation: 0.25A (turbo)
    • Weight: 6kg
    • Size (W×D×H): 454×273×430 (mm)
  • Model Name: Royal Prestige® Air Filtration System - AP2003

    • Power Supply: AC 220-240V
    • Consumption Electricity: 23W
    • Electric current for Operation: 0.25A (turbo)
    • Weight: 6kg
    • Size (W×D×H): 454×273×430 (mm)

Usage Features:

  • Main Controller and Indicator: The unit features a main controller with a knob for power supply and airflow speed, along with indicator lights for filter cleaning and replacement.
    • Power/Airflow Knob: Pushing the knob turns the unit on/off. Turning the knob controls the airflow speed, with clockwise increasing speed and counter-clockwise decreasing speed.
    • Operation Mode Button: This button allows users to switch between "Auto Operation Mode" and "Sleep Mode."
    • Filter Cleaning Indicator Light: Blinks when filters need cleaning.
    • Filter Replacement Indicator Light: Blinks when filters need replacement.
    • Airflow Display: Visual indicators show fan speed/airflow, and the amount of large and small particles detected by the Dust Sensor.
  • Remote Controller: A remote control is provided for convenient operation, featuring buttons for power, airflow speed adjustment, auto mode, and sleep mode. The remote uses a lithium button/coin cell battery, and safety warnings regarding battery ingestion are provided.
  • Auto Operation Mode: In this mode, the airflow speed is automatically adjusted based on the pollution level detected by the Dust Sensor. This mode can be canceled by manually adjusting the Power/Airflow knob.
  • Sleep Mode: This mode sets the airflow speed to the minimum for quiet operation, ideal for use during sleep.
  • Safety Instructions: The manual emphasizes critical safety precautions, including proper installation (away from direct sunlight, heating appliances, moisture, and on a level surface with at least four inches clearance on all sides), power supply warnings (avoiding wet hands, damaged cords, overloaded outlets, and pulling the plug to turn off), and operational guidelines (avoiding aerosol sprays, tampering with inlets/outlets, allowing children near, altering the product, opening filter box during operation, using as a substitute for ventilation fans, getting liquids inside, or subjecting to impact). The product has a polarized plug to reduce electric shock risk.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning the Exterior: The unit should be unplugged and wiped with a clean damp cloth. Harsh chemicals like alkaline detergent, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, organic solvents (thinner, kerosene), or alcohol-based cleaners should not be used on the main controller, indicator, or the unit's surface, as they may cause fading, electric shock, or fire.
  • Cleaning the Dust Sensor: The Dust Sensor, which determines the pollution level, should be periodically cleaned to optimize unit efficiency.
  • Accessing the Filters: To access the filters, the front cover is pulled and lifted from the bottom. Then, the Pre-Filter, Deodorization Filter, and Dust Collection Filter can be removed. The unit must be unplugged before removing filters.
  • Cleaning the Filters:
    • Pre-Filter: Can be washed with warm water. For heavy pollution, use a soft brush with warm water and a small amount of dish soap.
    • Deodorization Filter: Dust should be brushed off. This filter should not get wet. If it does, it must be air-dried completely before reinstalling to prevent damage to the Dust Collection Filter and undesirable odors. Cleaning may release small amounts of black powder (activated carbon), which is harmless and can be washed off with soap and water.
    • Filter Cleaning Indicator Reset: After cleaning the filters, the "Filter Cleaning" button should be pressed and held for approximately three seconds to reset the indicator light.
  • Replaceable Filter Units:
    • Deodorization Filter: Recommended replacement time is 1 to 1.5 years.
    • Dust Collection Filter (HEPA): Recommended replacement time is 1 to 1.5 years.
    • Replacement times may vary based on usage method and operating environment.
    • Filter Replacement Indicator Reset: After replacing the filters, the "Filter Replacement" button should be pressed and held for approximately three seconds to reset the indicator light.
    • Genuine Royal Prestige® Replacement Filters can be purchased from an Independent Royal Prestige® Distributor or by calling the Customer Service Center.
  • Troubleshooting: A chart is provided to help users diagnose common issues such as the unit not working, strange odors, or blinking filter indicators, offering solutions like checking power connections, filter installation, and cleaning/replacement procedures.
