If the water level in the sump is more than 40mm, remove the sump and empty it in the sink. Also, the metal disc at the base of the sump might be dirty; clean it with the soft brush supplied.       If the flame effect on your Ruby Fires Indoor Fireplace produces too much smoke, turn the flame effect control knob C to the right until it is at minimum. Then, slowly turn it to the left, about ¼ of a turn at a time. Allow the flame generator some time to adjust before increasing it further.

      If the main lamps aren't working and there are no flames or smoke on your Ruby Fires Indoor Fireplace, the tank may be empty. Follow the instructions under Maintenance, ‘Filling the water tank’. Also, check that the plug is correctly connected to the wall socket, switch ‘A’ is in the ‘ON’ ( I ) position, and press switch ‘B’ until you hear one beep for the flame effect.
