Important Safety Instructions
Read and follow all instructions before installation
WARNING Risk of electric shock. This pump should not be
used to drain the pool cover if there are people in the pool.
WARNING Risk of electric shock. This pump is provided
with a 3-prong grounding plug for use with a 110 volt AC
3-prong outlet. A shock hazard exists if the plug is connected
to an ungrounded outlet. Connect only to a grounding type
receptacle protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter
(GFCI). Contact a qualified electrician if you cannot verify that
the receptacle is protected by a GFCI.
WARNING Do not bury cord. Visually locate cord to
minimize damage by lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and other
equipment.
WARNING —To reduce the risk of electric shock, replace
damaged cord immediately.
WARNING A clogged or frozen hose will prevent pump
from discharging water. To ensure proper flow please make
sure hose is free of debris or ice.
WARNING Water accumulated on pool cover can cause
serious injury or death. Proper installation of pool cover pump
and periodic maintenance is recommended.
WARNING —To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use
extension cord to connect unit to electric supply; provide a
properly located outlet.
WARNING Do not plug the pump into an outlet while
standing in water or on a damp surface.
This pump is designed for use with fresh and salt water
only. Use with any medium, including particularly hazardous,
caustic or corrosive substances, could result in damage to the
pump, the surrounding environment and injury to persons or
property, including possible exposure to hazardous substance.
