KLS-203 Wireless Winch Remote Control Kit
RUNVA wireless remote works lets you operate your winch from up to 75 ft without
cables or switches. Just press the remote transmitter and you're ready to operate your winch
Start, stop, in or out.

WARNING: The Wireless Remote is designed for use on front mount self-recovery winches
only. The remote is not designed for and should not be used on winches or hoists in
industrial applications (commercial car haulers/carriers, wreckers, cranes, etc.) or for any
other remote controlled applications.

①:Signed as 01, 02. ”01”: Code learning Type; “02”: Code Fixed.
②:Using Range admitted. Signed as E, C.”E” : European Using Style;
”C” Common style, this letter is always leave out;
③:Power Voltage, Signed as 12VDC or 24VDC.
④:Connector Style, using solely out of the winches control box. Signed as 03, 04. “03” :
three cores connector;
“04” : four cores of connector.
⑤: mount type, Signed as 05.
“05” :small remote can fix in the winches control box.

Installation and operating instructions:
There are two kinds of different connect way for the reason of different kinds winches’
solenoid female connector. You can choice a suitable type of wireless remote control as
RWRC03 or RWRC04. showing as the following connection drawing.
RWRC03: While you insert the receiver plug to the winches’ solenoid female connector,
you shold connect the earth line to the battery negative. Be sure of the earth line connect
exactly, then you can operate your winch by press the button on the transmitter.
RWRC04: While you are ready to operate a winch, just connect the four cores of the
recever to the winches’ solenoid female connector. And then you can operate your winch by
press the button on the transmitter. NOTE: Make sure one of the four pole receptacle is
connected to earth.

Overview

The KLS-203 Wireless Winch Remote Control Kit allows you to operate your winch wirelessly from up to 75 feet away, eliminating the need for cables or switches. Simply press the remote transmitter to control your winch's start, stop, and direction (in or out).

Function Description:

The device consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter sends wireless signals to the receiver, which then controls the winch's solenoid. It is designed for use with front-mount self-recovery winches only and is not intended for industrial applications such as commercial car haulers/carriers, wreckers, cranes, or other remote-controlled applications.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Wireless Range: Up to 75 feet.
  • Power Voltage: Available in 12VDC or 24VDC options, as indicated by the "RWRC-X-X-X-3" or "RWRC-X-X-X-4" designation.
  • Connector Styles:
    • "03": Three-core connector, used solely with the winch's control box.

  • Multiple Connection Options: Two main connection types are available:

    • RWRC-04: Requires connecting the four cores of the receiver to the winch's solenoid female connector. Note: One of the four-pole receptacles must be connected to earth.
  • Mounting Flexibility: The "05" type allows the receiver to be mounted inside the winch's control box for a more integrated setup.
  • Operating Procedure:
    1. Disengage the winch clutch.
    2. Pull out about 1.5 meters of winch wire rope.
    3. Reengage the winch clutch.
    4. Insert the remote control receiver plug into the winch's solenoid control box female connector. For RWRC-03 type, ensure the black earth line is properly connected to the battery negative.
    5. Place the receiver in a suitable location.
    6. Keep the receiver's antenna extended and straight.
    7. Pull out the transmitter's antenna and move down its cover to expose the control button.
    8. Press the button to operate the winch (start, stop, in, out).

Maintenance Features:

  • Replaceable Battery: The transmitter battery is readily available for replacement.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting section to address common issues:
    • Motor turns, but Winch does not work: Suggests checking winch operating instructions for a defective winch.
    • Motor does not turn, but "Click" sound is heard in receiver: Indicates possible loose receiver connections to the winch or a false earth line connection. Suggested actions include reinserting connections and ensuring proper earth connections.
    • Motor runs in one direction only: Points to a defective winch or loose receiver connections. Suggested actions include checking winch operating instructions and reinserting connections.
    • No actions (no response from winch): Suggests that the receiver and transmitter are not matching. For "01" (code learning) type, a code learn procedure is recommended. For "02" (fixed code) type, returning to the manufacturer for rematching is advised.
