Usage Features:

The trimmer features a battery port, rear handle with an on/off trigger, lock-out trigger, and speed selector, an upper shaft, speed winder, front handle, lower shaft, safety guard, cut-off blade, cutting line, and string head.

  • Assembly:
    • The lower drive shaft is inserted into the upper drive shaft and secured with screws.
    • The safety guard is installed onto the trimmer head and secured with screws.
    • The front handle is attached to the upper drive shaft at a comfortable position after loosening its clamp with a wing nut and screw.
  • Operation:
    • To start, insert a compatible battery pack until it clicks into place.
    • Adjust the speed from low to high using the speed selector.
    • Press and hold the lock-out trigger, then squeeze the on/off trigger to turn on the product.
    • The cutting line is advanced by tapping the bump knob on the ground. The line advances each time the head is tapped; avoid holding the bump knob on the ground.
    • For optimal cutting, cut grass from one direction.
    • When cutting tall grass, cut from the top down to prevent wrapping around the shaft housing and bump head, which can cause overheating.
    • For cutting ease and safety, cut grass from the right side to the left side.
  • Adjusting the Cutting Line:
    • The cutting width can be adjusted between 33 cm and 38 cm by rotating the line cut-off blade 180 degrees. A 38 cm cutting width gets the job done faster but results in a lesser runtime.
    • To adjust, remove the battery pack, place the product motor-side down, remove the screws on the line cut-off blade, rotate the blade 180 degrees, and reinstall the blade and screws.
  • Replacing the Cutting Line:
    • Remove the battery pack and place the product motor-side down.
    • Rotate the bump knob until the line on the center of the bump knob aligns with the arrows on the outer spool.
    • Use a 2.0 mm diameter line, approximately 3.0 m in length. Insert one end of the line through an eyelet on the side of the string head and push it through until it exits the other side, ensuring equal lengths on both sides (max. 1.65 m per side).
    • Rotate the bump knob with the speed winder (or by hand) to wind the line.
    • Wind the line until approximately 12 cm remains protruding from the trimmer head.
    • Insert the battery pack and operate the trimmer to advance the line by tapping the bump knob on the ground.
  • Replacing the String Head:
    • Remove the battery pack and place the product motor-side down.
    • Insert a lock pin into the slot underneath the string head.
    • Loosen and remove the old trimmer head.
    • Install the new string head and tighten it to secure.
    • Remove the lock pin.
