This document describes two devices: the RYOBI 18V Bug Zapper (P29014) and the RYOBI 18V Brushless Compact Blower (PSBLB01).
The RYOBI 18V Bug Zapper is a portable lantern designed to attract and kill mosquitoes and other flying insects using UV light, while also providing area lighting. It operates on an 18V battery pack and is suitable for outdoor use. The device features a bug tray for collecting dead insects, which can be easily removed and emptied.
The bug zapper offers independent control for its UV light and area light functions.
Handle Attachment: The handle (D) is attached by looping its unattached end around the top of the bug zapper, inserting the round tab through the wide end of the hole (B) in the handle, and pulling the handle down until the tab is inside the narrow end of the hole and secure (C).
Battery Installation/Removal: To install the battery pack (B), align it with the battery port (C) and push it into the product until the latches (A) snap into place. Ensure the battery pack is fully seated and secure. To remove, depress the latches on the battery pack and pull it away from the product.
Area Light Operation: The area light (B) can be used with or without the UV light. After inserting a battery pack, the area light is initially OFF. Pressing the area light button (B) cycles through High, Medium, Low, and Off settings.
UV Light Operation: The UV light (A) attracts and kills flying insects. It can be set to run for 2, 4, or 6 hours. Pressing the UV light button (A) cycles through these timer settings and Off, indicated by LED indicators (C). The UV light and area light functions are independent.
