OPERATION
NOTICE:
Always turn power switch to OFF position and remove
key when charging mower and when mower is not in use.
NOTICE:
Always connect the mower to the charger when the unit
is not in use. If it is not possible to leave the mower char-
ger connected, make sure to charge the batteries fully at
least once a month.
SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM
See Figure 9.
This mower features a Safety Interlock System to protect the
operator by shutting off the blades if the operator leaves the
seat with the blades running. Test the system before each
use to be sure it is working correctly.
To test:
Position the mower on a level surface.
Make sure direction control switch is in neutral (N) position
and blade engage knob is down.
Install start key and turn to ON position.
Raise blade engage knob to activate blades.
Briefly lift off the seat, but do not get off the mower.
The blades should shut off within 5 seconds. If they don’t,
contact customer service. Do not operate the mower until the
safety interlock system has been repaired.

WARNING:
Clear the area of bystanders before operating the mower. If
anyone enters the mowing area, stop immediately and do
not return to mowing until the bystanders leave the area.

If charger is connected to both power supply and mower, and an error condition exists. Disconnect charger from mower,
perform a suggested remedy below, then try charging again.
Remove debris from charger/mower connection
Allow hot batteries to cool
Lower over voltage batteries by running the mower to discharge
Verify mower battery series configuration is correct
Clean charger cooling fins and if hot, allow to cool
