Why Ryobi RY52004 Pole Saw engine will not start?
    • C
      Charles WoodardJul 28, 2025
If your Ryobi Pole Saw engine won't start, there could be several reasons. First, check for spark by removing the spark plug, reattaching the cap, and laying it on the metal cylinder. Pull the starter rope to look for a spark at the plug tip. Replace the spark plug if there's no spark. Another reason could be no fuel. Push the primer bulb until it fills with fuel. If it doesn't fill, the primary fuel delivery system might be blocked, and you should contact a servicing dealer. Lastly, the engine might be flooded. Pull the starter three times with the choke lever at “RUN”. If it doesn't start, move the choke lever to “START” and repeat the starting procedure. If it still fails, repeat the procedure with a new spark plug and contact a servicing dealer.
