- Food Storage Guidelines: Specific recommendations are provided for storing various food items in different compartments, including long-term storage for frozen foods (up to 6 months), raw meat/poultry/fish (up to 4 months in freezer, short-term in fridge), ice cream/frozen fruit/baked goods (2 months), dried vegetables/chips (2 months), and fresh produce.
- Energy Saving Tips:
- Install the appliance in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Do not set temperatures lower than recommended.
- Allow cooked food to cool before placing it in the fridge/freezer.
- Keep the fridge full but not overcrowded to reduce cold air loss.
- Maintain good ventilation around the appliance (at least 10cm on top, sides, and back).
- Limit door opening frequency and duration.
- Ensure door seals are clean and in good condition.
- Defrost regularly if ice accumulation exceeds 5mm (though this model has automatic defrost).
- Door Reversal: The door can be reversed to open from the left or right side. This process involves dismantling the upper and lower hinges, transferring components, and reassembling them on the opposite side. It is recommended to have a qualified technician perform this task or to proceed with caution if you have the necessary skills and tools.
- Error Display: The control panel displays error codes (E1, E5, E6, E7, E9, E10) with corresponding icon combinations to indicate specific issues such as temperature sensor failures, communication errors, or sticking buttons.
- Power Failure: In case of power failure, avoid opening the door. Frozen food should remain unaffected for up to 12 hours. For longer failures, food should be consumed immediately or cooked and re-frozen.
Maintenance Features:
- Defrosting: The appliance is designed for automatic defrosting, so manual defrosting is not required.
- Cleaning:
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Remove all food and shelves/drawers.
- Clean interior and exterior surfaces with a soft sponge or cloth using warm water and bicarbonate of soda (1 teaspoon per 1.2 liters of water).
- Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.
- Regularly clean dust from behind the refrigerator and on the floor to improve cooling efficiency.
- Clean door gaskets with mild soap and water.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaning products, hard brushes, metal scrapers, organic solvents, boiling water, or acidic/alkaline substances, as these can damage surfaces and plastic parts.
- For hard-to-reach areas, use a soft rag or brush.
- After cleaning, leave the door open to air dry before plugging it back in.
- Prolonged Off Periods: If the appliance will not be used for an extended period, disconnect it from the mains, clean and dry the interior, and leave the door open to prevent unpleasant smells and mold.
- Troubleshooting: Before calling for service, check basic issues like power connection, fuse, appliance level, door closure, and airflow.
- Disposal: The appliance contains R600a refrigerant, which is flammable. Contact your local disposal department for proper disposal methods. Old electrical appliances should not be disposed of with normal municipal waste but collected separately for recycling, in accordance with European directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE).
