Why won't my Saber Compact Portable Generator engine start?
- SSamantha FlemingAug 4, 2025
If your Saber Compact Portable Generator's engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. First, check if the fuel or oil content is low and add fuel or oil. Ensure the Engine On/Off switch is in the “On” position. Inspect the spark plug for faults and replace or clean it if necessary. Adjust the choke lever to the correct position. Verify the fuel shut-off valve is open. Remove any load from the unit during start-up. Securely attach the spark plug wire. Lastly, if there's old fuel in the carburetor, open the drain screw until fresh fuel runs through.
