What to do if my Samsung CE287DNR Microwave Oven timer starts but there is no heat?
    • M
      Michelle ReillyAug 19, 2025
If the timer on your Samsung Microwave Oven counts down but there's no heat, while the oven lamp and fan motor are running, the issue could stem from several causes. It may be due to misaligned latch switches, a loose connection in the high voltage circuit (particularly the magnetron filament circuit), defective high voltage components such as the H.V.Transformer, H.V. Capacitor, H.V.Diode, H.V.Fuse, or Magnetron. It could also be caused by open or loose wiring of the power relay, a defective primary latch switch, or a defective power relay or Ass’y PCB. To resolve this, adjust the door and latch switches and inspect the high voltage components. If any component is defective, replace it. You may also need to replace the PCB main.

Why does my Samsung Microwave Oven not accept key input?
    • M
      melissa97Aug 22, 2025
If your Samsung Microwave Oven does not accept key input, it could be because the key input is not in sequence, there is an open or loose connection of the membrane key pad to the Ass’y PCB, the membrane panel is shorted or open, or the Ass’y PCB is defective. Refer to the operation procedure. Replace PCB main.

What to do if my Samsung CE287DNR Microwave Oven can program but timer doesn't start?
    • C
      christopher21Aug 25, 2025
If your Samsung Microwave Oven can be programmed but the timer does not start, it may be due to open or loose wiring of the secondary interlock switch, off-alignment of the primary interlock, or a defective secondary interlock S/W. Adjust the door and interlock switches.

What to do if my Samsung CE287DNR Microwave Oven is not cooking evenly?
    • T
      tiffany12Aug 26, 2025
Uneven cooking in your Samsung Microwave Oven can be due to the natural uneven intensity of microwaves. To mitigate this, wrap thinner parts of the food with aluminum foil, use plastic wrap or cover with a lid. For foods like soup, cocoa, or milk, stir once or twice during cooking.

What to do if my Samsung Microwave Oven stops during cooking?
    • C
      Christopher KingAug 28, 2025
If your Samsung Microwave Oven stops operating during cooking, it could be due to open or loose wiring of the primary interlock switch or the operation of the thermal cutout (Magnetron). Adjust the door and latch switches.

Why is the microwave output low in my Samsung Microwave Oven?
    • B
      Briana CareyAug 30, 2025
Low microwave output in your Samsung Microwave Oven, causing longer cooking times, could be due to a decrease in power source voltage, open or loose wiring of the magnetron filament circuit (causing intermittent oscillation), or aging of the magnetron. Consult an electrician.

Why is my Samsung CE287DNR turntable motor not rotating?
    • M
      Melanie ValenzuelaSep 1, 2025
If the turntable motor in your Samsung Microwave Oven is not rotating, it could be due to open or loose wiring of the turntable motor or a defective turntable motor. Replace the turntable motor.

    Michele BurnsSep 3, 2025
Why is my Samsung CE287DNR Microwave Oven sparking?
    • N
      Nancy ShafferSep 3, 2025
Sparks in your Samsung Microwave Oven can occur if metallic ware or cooking dishes touch the oven wall, or if ceramic ware trimmed with gold or silver powder is used. Avoid using any cookware with metallic trimming.

What to do if my Samsung Microwave Oven is completely dead?
    • E
      Elizabeth HoganSep 5, 2025
If your Samsung Microwave Oven is completely dead, with no display or operation at all, and the fuse is OK, the cause may be an open or loose lead wire harness, an open thermal cutout (Magnetron), an open low voltage transformer, or a defective Ass’y PCB. If the thermal cutout is defective, check the fan motor. If the L.V.T is defective, check the Ass’y PCB.

What to do if my Samsung Microwave Oven has no display and doesn't operate after fuse is blown?
    • J
      Janet CrossSep 8, 2025
If your Samsung Microwave Oven has no display and doesn't operate, and the fuse is blown, it could be due to a shorted lead wire harness, a defective primary latch switch, a defective monitor switch, a shorted H.V.Capacitor, or a shorted H.V.Transformer. Check the adjustment of the primary, interlock monitor, power relay, and door sensing switch.
