Lift the corner of the plastic shield and just lift it out.
To remove you can use a needle nose pliers, or a
small flat head screwdriver. Once the shield is
removed you will have enough room to fit the probes
into the connection to take your readings.
Once the checks have been completed replace
the plastic shield by simply pushing it back into
place until you hear it click.
Removal of plastic shield will allow wire access for
