Function Description

The Samsung DV25B6800H* is a heat pump dryer designed for drying clothes. It utilizes a heat pump system, which is generally more energy-efficient than traditional vented dryers. Sorting and Loading Tips:

  • Dry one wash load at a time.
  • Do not mix heavy and lightweight items.
  • Add a dry towel for one or two items to improve efficiency.
  • Untangle items before loading.
  • Avoid overloading to prevent uneven drying, wrinkling, and longer drying times.
  • Do not dry woolens or fiberglass unless recommended on the care label.
  • Avoid drying unwashed items or items soiled with oil, alcohol, gasoline, etc.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and safety.

  • Lint Filter: Must be cleaned before or after every load to prevent fire risk and maintain drying performance. The filter consists of an outer and inner filter that should be unfolded, cleaned with the provided brush, and can be washed under running water and dried completely for thorough cleaning.
  • Water Tank: If the long drain hose is not installed, the water tank must be emptied manually before or after every load to prevent leaks. It is removed by pulling it forward with both hands and emptied through the drain hole on top.
  • Heat Exchanger: Should be cleaned at least once a month. The heat exchanger indicator lights up as a reminder. To clean, gently press the top of the outer cover to open, unlock the fixers, remove the inner cover, and clean the heat exchanger with the provided brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Care must be taken not to bend or damage the fins. The inner cover should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not touch or clean the heat exchanger with bare hands due to risk of injury/burns, and do not use water to clean it.
  • Control Panel: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive substances, spraying liquid cleaners directly, or using laundry pre-treatment products that may cause damage.
  • Tumbler: Remove stains with an all-purpose cleaner. Tumble old towels or rags to remove remaining stains.
  • Stainless Steel Tumbler: Clean with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Dryer Exterior: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Protect from sharp objects and avoid placing heavy or sharp items on top.

Special Features:

  • Child Lock: Prevents children from operating the dryer. Activated/deactivated by pressing and holding Damp Alert and Wrinkle Prevent buttons for 3 seconds. Remains active even after restarting.
  • Smart Care: If an information code appears, Smart Care can be activated (by pressing and holding Drum Light for 3 seconds) and used with the Samsung Smart Washer app on a smartphone to diagnose the code and receive suggestions. The app recognizes the code by scanning the dryer's display.
