Usage Features

  • Installation: The dryer should be installed indoors on a solid, level floor, away from areas exposed to weather, extreme temperatures (below 5 °C or above 35 °C), or gas leaks. Adequate ventilation is crucial to prevent the backflow of gases from other fuel-burning appliances. Minimum clearances are specified for alcove installations: Sides: 25 mm, Top: 25 mm, Rear: 50 mm, Front: 490 mm.
  • Levelling: The dryer features adjustable levelling feet to ensure stability and proper operation. These can be adjusted to match the height of an adjacent washing machine.
  • Drainage: The dryer can drain condensed water either into a built-in water tank (default setting) or directly into a drainage system using a supplied long drain hose and connector. Instructions are provided for draining into a wash basin or drain pipe.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Children and persons with reduced capabilities must be supervised when using the appliance.
    • The supply cord must be replaced by qualified personnel if damaged.
    • Ventilation openings at the base must not be obstructed.
    • The appliance should not be electrically connected through external switching devices like timers.
    • Industrial chemicals should not be used for cleaning the dryer.
    • The lint trap must be cleaned frequently.
    • Lint accumulation around the dryer should be avoided.
    • Unwashed items should not be dried.
    • Items soiled with flammable substances (e.g., cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol) must be washed in hot water with extra detergent before drying.
    • Foam rubber, shower caps, waterproof textiles, and rubber-backed articles should not be dried.
    • The drying cycle should not be stopped prematurely unless items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.
    • Exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue used for other fuel-burning appliances.
    • The appliance door should not be obstructed by other doors.
    • Fabric softeners should be used as specified by their instructions.
    • The refrigerant circuit must not be damaged.
    • Do not stand on the appliance or place heavy objects on it.
    • Avoid touching the hot glass door or inside of the drum during/after drying.
    • Ensure pockets are empty before drying to prevent damage from hard, sharp objects.
    • Use a laundry net for small, lightweight items with buckles or buttons.
    • Dryer sheets are compatible and can reduce static electricity.
    • Do not use the dryer near dangerous powders or place flammable materials near it.
    • The appliance should not be placed behind lockable doors.
    • Do not touch the rear side of the appliance during or immediately after drying.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the door being open, the dryer not running, not heating, not drying effectively, being noisy, drying unevenly, emitting odors, or stopping before the load is dry.

Maintenance Features

  • General Cleaning:
    • Do not spray water directly onto the dryer.
    • Avoid using benzene, thinner, or alcohol for cleaning.
    • Always unplug the power cord before cleaning or maintenance.
    • The interior of the dryer should be cleaned periodically by an authorized service engineer.
  • Lint Filter Cleaning: The lint filter must be cleaned after each load to maintain drying performance. This involves pulling the filter upward, opening the outer filter, removing the inner filter, unfolding both, removing lint, and cleaning with the provided brush. For thorough cleaning, wash filters under running water and dry completely. Operating the dryer with a wet lint filter or without the inner filter can lead to mold, odors, and decreased performance.
  • Water Tank Emptying: The water tank should be emptied after every load to prevent leaks. If the dryer displays a "5C" error code, it indicates the water tank needs emptying.
  • Heat Exchanger Cleaning: The heat exchanger should be cleaned when the "Clean Heat Exchanger" indicator lights up and an alert sounds. This involves gently pressing to open the outer cover, unlocking fixers, removing the inner cover, and cleaning the heat exchanger with the provided cleaning brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Care must be taken not to bend or damage the fins. Do not touch the heat exchanger with bare hands or use water for cleaning. After cleaning, reinsert the inner cover, lock the fixers, and close the outer cover.
  • Freezing Prevention: Install the dryer in an area where the temperature does not drop below zero degrees Celsius. If using a long drain hose, ensure no water remains inside after use to prevent freezing. If the hose freezes, wrap it with a towel soaked in warm water to thaw it.
  • Disposal: The appliance is made from recyclable materials. For disposal, cut off the power cord and remove the door to prevent accidents. Follow local waste disposal regulations.
