Open the multifunction jack cover on top of the device. 1.
Plug the small end of the travel adapter into the multifunction jack.2.
Plug the large end of the travel adapter into a power outlet.3.
When the battery is fully charged, unplug the travel adapter from the 4.
power outlet and then from the device.
GET TO KNOW THE IDLE SCREEN
To scroll through the Idle screen:
Drag left or right to view the hidden areas of the Idle screen.
To add items to the Idle screen:
Press 1.
Add or tap and hold the empty area on the idle screen.
Select the item category and then select an item:2.
Widgets: Add widgets to the idle screen.
Shortcuts : Add shortcuts to items, such as applications, bookmarks
and contacts.
Folders : Create a new folder or add folders for your contacts.
Wallpapers : Set a background image.
WIRELESS FUNCTIONS
In Idle mode, select 1. SettingsWireless and networks
Wi-Fi settings.
Select 2. Wi-Fi to turn wireless services on or off.
Android Market provides an easy and quick way to shop for games and
mobile applications.
To install applications:
In Idle mode, select 1.
Market.
Select 2. Accept when the terms and conditions appear.
Select an item category and then select an item.3.
Select 4. Install (for free items) or Buy.
If you select 5. Install, select OK to download immediately.
If you select 6. Buy, you need to enter your credit card information. Follow
the on-screen instructions.
To uninstall applications:
1. From the Android Market home screen, select Downloads.
2. Select the application that you want to delete.
3. Select Uninstall → OK.
SYNCHRONIZE DATA
You can synchronize data (Google messages, calendar, and contacts) with the
Google web server and back up or restore your data.
To activate automatic sync:
In Idle mode, select 1.
Settings → Accounts and sync.
Select 2. Auto-sync.
Select an account.3.
Select the applications that you want to synchronize.4.
To exclude applications from automatic synchronization, clear the
checkboxes next to the applications you want to exclude.
To synchronize data manually:
In Idle mode, select 1.
Settings → Accounts and sync.
Select an account.2.
Press 3.
Sync now. Your device will start synchronizing the data
you set for synchronization.
Wi-Fi
Your device features wireless networking capabilities that allow you to con-
nect to wireless local area networks (WLANs).
To activate and connect to a WLAN:
In Idle mode, select 1.
Settings → Wireless and networks →
Wi-Fi settings → Wi-Fi. Your phone
automatically searches for available WLAN networks.
Select a network. 2.
Enter a password for the WLAN.3.
Select 4. Connect.
To add a WLAN:
In Idle mode, select 1.
Settings → Wireless and networks →
Wi-Fi settings.
Select2. Add Wi-Fi network.
Enter the SSID for the network and select the security type.3.
Set the security settings depending on the selected security type.4.
Select 5. Save.
