Lease time: When DHCP is enabled, set a length of time a connected device may use
an assigned IP address.
Maximum DHCP users: When DHCP is enabled, set the maximum number of devices
allowed to connect to your Hotspot.
Allowed Devices
Control whether devices can connect to your Mobile Hotspot with the Allowed devices list. After you add
devices to the list, they can scan for your phone and connect using your phone’s Hotspot name and
password.
Note: Using the Hotspot feature consumes battery power and uses data services.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Hotspot and Tethering.
2. Tap Hotspot > More options > Allowed Devices.
3. Tap , and then enter the other device’s Device name and MAC address. Consult the other
device’s settings to find these details.
4. Tap OK to add the device to the Allowed devices list.
Tethering Settings
Use Tethering to share your phone’s Internet connection with a computer that connects to your phone
using a USB cable or via Bluetooth.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Hotspot and Tethering.
2. Tap USB tethering to connect a computer to your phone via USB cable.

Tap Bluetooth tethering to pair your phone with the computer via Bluetooth. Consult the
computer’s documentation for more information about configuring your computer to pair via
Bluetooth.
