Changing Your Settings 107
1. From the Home screen, tap ➔
Settings ➔
Security ➔ Owner information .
2. Tap the
Show owner info on lock screen checkbox to
create a checkmark if you want your owner information
displayed on the lock screen.
3. Enter the information that you would like displayed on
your lockscreen and tap
OK.
Encryption
To require a numeric PIN or password to decrypt your phone
each time you power it on or decrypt the data on your SD card
each time it is connected.
Note: Charge battery to 80% or more. Set an unlock password
of at least 6 characters, containing at least one number.
1. From the Home screen, tap ➔
Settings ➔ Security .
2. Tap
Encrypt device . For more information, read the
displayed help screen.
3. Tap
Encrypt external SD card to enable the encryption of
SD card data that requires a password be entered each
time the microSD card is connected.
Tip: Encryption may take an hour or more.
Find my mobile
Using the Find my mobile feature, you can find your missing
phone.
Remote controls
Remote controls uses the SamsungDive service to track and
control your device remotely. See www.samsungdive.com for
more information.
To enable remote controls:
1. From the Home screen, tap ➔
Settings ➔ Security
➔
Remote controls .
SIM Change Alert
Sends an SMS message when the SIM card is changed.
1. From the Home screen, tap ➔
Settings ➔ Security
➔
SIM Change Alert .
2. Tap Alert Message Recipients and enter the message
recipients.
SamsungDive web page
Opens the SamsungDive web page using the default browser
or Chrome.
